Our client is a founder-led international freight forwarder headquartered in Sydney. They've grown quickly by pairing modern technology with the kind of personal service the big multinationals struggle to deliver. They look after hundreds of Australian importers and exporters across sea freight, air freight and customs.

They hired their first SDR this year and it's been a big success. Now they want a second.

The Role

This is a front-line new business role. You'll find and qualify importers and exporters, open conversations and book meetings for the Business Development team. You'll work closely with the directors and the sales team. You'll learn freight from people who have built a business from scratch.

There's a transparent path from SDR to BDM for the right person.

What You'll Be Doing

- Researching and building target lists of importers and exporters
- Outbound prospecting by phone, email and LinkedIn
- Qualifying leads and booking first meetings for the BDMs
- Following up enquiries and warm leads quickly
- Keeping the CRM accurate and up to date
- Hitting weekly activity and meeting targets




- Sharing market feedback with the sales team on what's landing and what isn't

What You'll Bring

- 1 to 3 years in an outbound sales, SDR, BDR or similar target-driven role
- Comfort on the phone and confidence talking to business owners and decision makers
- Resilience. You don't take a "no" personally
- Strong written communication for email and LinkedIn outreach
- Stability in your career history. This business values people who commit
- Freight forwarding or logistics exposure is a plus, but drive and work ethic matter more
- Ambition to grow into a BDM role
