Nursing Experts Services | Sydney
Full-time, 6-month contract with a pathway to a permanent role
Grow your career with a fast-growing community care provider
About us
Nursing Experts Services is a small, fast-growing, family-run community and home care service, delivering nursing and personal care to people in their own homes across NSW, VIC, SA and NT. We're expanding our services, our team and our systems, and we're looking for people who want to grow with us. You'll join at a point where your work directly shapes how we scale.
About the role
This is a hands-on dual role for someone who likes being the person who makes things work and wants to grow alongside the business. You'll own our roster from end to end, making sure every client gets the right care from the right person, and you'll build the team that makes that possible by leading our recruitment.
When a shift falls through or a staff member needs to change their schedule, you're the one who finds the solution. You'll be the go-to person for coverage, including taking the lead on our after-hours on-call support. As we grow, so does this role, and the systems, processes and team you help build now will become the foundation of our future.
What you'll do
Scheduling & coverage
- Build and manage rosters for our nursing and care workers across NSW, VIC, SA and NT, working across different time zones
- Own coverage: resolve shift changes, cancellations and gaps quickly and creatively
- Lead after-hours on-call support so clients and staff always have someone to reach
- Match workers to clients based on skills, clinical needs, continuity of care and location
- Work closely with our clinical and operations team to keep services safe and consistent
Recruitment
- Manage the full recruitment cycle: advertising, screening, interviews, reference and compliance checks
- Build a reliable pool of nurses and care workers to support growth and cover gaps
- Coordinate onboarding so new starters are ready to go from day one
What you'll bring
- Full working rights in Australia with no restrictions on hours
- Availability to work full time, including after-hours on-call support
- Experience in rostering or scheduling, ideally in home care, community nursing, disability or aged care
- An understanding of how community-based care works and why continuity matters to clients
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside the box when plans change
- Excellent time management and the ability to juggle competing priorities calmly
- Reliability. People will be counting on you, and you'll follow through
- Recruitment experience is highly regarded
- Experience with rostering software (e.g. ShiftCare) is a plus
What we offer
- $[70,000 – 85,000] + superannuation, plus an on-call allowance
- A 6-month contract with a genuine pathway to a permanent full-time role
- Room to grow your career as the business expands, with the scope of the role growing alongside you
- Real ownership of a function that matters to clients and staff
- A supportive, family-run team where your ideas are heard and acted on
- The chance to build and shape how a fast-growing provider schedules and recruits
