This permanent role, offered on a part-time or full-time basis (negotiable), provides an exciting opportunity to contribute across workplace health and safety, incident management, child safety compliance, governance, policy management, risk and regulatory compliance.

The Prospect

Permanent | Part-time or Full-time (negotiable) | Commencing 19 January 2027.

As a key member of our Compliance team, you will work collaboratively across all areas of the School, providing practical advice and operational support to help ensure our systems, processes and practices meet legislative requirements while fostering a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include

- Coordinate and maintain the School’s WHS management system, including inspections, hazard identification, risk assessments, ergonomic assessments and corrective actions.
- Provide practical WHS advice and support to leaders and employees, including safe work practices, incident management and workplace investigations.
- Support risk management and emergency preparedness, including risk assessments, emergency procedures, drills and evacuation arrangements.
- Coordinate compliance reviews, audits and registers, monitoring actions and supporting ongoing regulatory compliance.
- Support contractor, student work placement and workplace compliance, including inductions, documentation and site assessments.




- Support compliance with Child Safe Standards, education legislation, CRICOS, early childhood requirements and other applicable regulatory frameworks.
- Coordinate the School’s policy and document management framework, including reviews, version control and publication.
- Prepare compliance reports, dashboards and governance information for the Head of People, Culture, and Compliance.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and support the implementation of required changes across the School.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen WHS, compliance, risk and governance systems, promoting a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement.

About You To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Strong knowledge of contemporary WHS legislation, regulations, codes of practice and compliance frameworks.
- Experience coordinating WHS, risk and compliance systems, preferably within education or another regulated environment, as well as experience in incident management and hazard identification.
- Knowledge of child safety, governance and organisational compliance requirements.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills,



including the ability to prepare reports, policies, procedures and other organisational documentation
- Excellent organisation and time management, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, recommend improvements and implement practical solutions.
- High attention to detail when maintaining records, registers and compliance documentation.
- Sound judgement, discretion and confidentiality when managing sensitive matters.
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team.
- A proactive approach to identifying risks, improving systems and supporting a positive safety culture.
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a proactive culture of workplace health and safety, compliance and continuous improvement.
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or working towards)
- A current Queensland Blue Card, or eligibility to obtain one.
- A willingness to actively support the ethos and values of St Luke’s Anglican School.
- Training or qualifications in governance, compliance, investigations or risk management (highly desirable)
