Your New Company
Work for Australia's independent regulator for online safety and a global leader in addressing online harms.
This organisation works directly with frontline practitioners, domestic, family and sexual violence services, and victim-survivors to strengthen responses to technology-facilitated abuse and improve safety outcomes nationwide.
The service forms part of Australia's broader commitment to ending violence against women and children and plays a critical role in supporting the sector to respond to emerging online risks, coercive control, digital surveillance, online harassment and abuse.
Your New Role
This is much more than a traditional stakeholder engagement position. As the Sector Liaison & Engagement Lead, you will become a trusted connection point between the organisation and domestic, family and sexual violence services across Australia. Acting as the voice of the sector internally, you will build strategic relationships, gather insights from stakeholders and help shape future service delivery, resources and support initiatives.
You will engage with frontline practitioners, peak bodies, community organisations, government agencies and sector leaders, ensuring their experiences and feedback directly influence future priorities and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders across Australia
- Act as the primary liaison between the organisation and domestic, family and sexual violence organisations
- Represent the service at conferences, forums, advisory groups, working parties and sector events
- Facilitate stakeholder consultations, workshops, co-design activities and partnership initiatives
- Promote awareness, understanding and adoption of services,
programs and resources
- Gather sector intelligence and identify emerging trends, risks and opportunities
- Prepare reports, briefings, presentations and consultation outcomes
- Contribute to strategic projects that strengthen sector capability and service delivery
- Support continuous improvement across stakeholder engagement activities and service offerings
- Work collaboratively with policy, operational and service delivery teams to achieve high-quality outcomes
This is a rare opportunity to combine relationship-building expertise with meaningful social impact and national influence.
What You'll Need to Succeed
To be successful, you'll bring demonstrated experience building and maintaining productive relationships across complex stakeholder environments. You will be comfortable engaging with senior leaders, facilitating discussions with diverse audiences and navigating competing priorities to achieve positive outcomes.
You Will Bring
- Experience in stakeholder engagement, relationship management, partnerships, consultation or community engagement roles
- A strong track record of building trusted relationships across government, not-for-profit, community or service delivery sectors
- Experience facilitating workshops, forums, consultations and stakeholder meetings
- Outstanding written communication skills, including reports,
briefing papers, presentations and stakeholder communications
- Strong analytical capability and the ability to identify trends, themes and opportunities from stakeholder feedback
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong judgement, initiative and problem-solving capability
Experience within the domestic and family violence sector, social services, community services, advocacy, policy, online safety or related environments will be highly regarded, though not essential.
What You'll Get in Return
In return, you'll join a highly respected organisation undertaking work that delivers genuine and lasting impact across Australia.
Advantages Include
- EL1 equivalent salary of $121,755 - $134,116 plus superannuation
- Secure contract through to 30 June 2027
- 37.5-hour working week, Monday to Friday
- Opportunity to contribute to a nationally significant social impact program
- Exposure to influential stakeholders and sector leaders across Australia
- Highly visible and externally facing position
- Opportunity to influence future service development and capability-building initiatives
- Collaborative, values-driven and purpose-led culture
- Access to wellbeing initiatives and employee support programs
- Meaningful work that contributes directly to improving outcomes for victim-survivors
