Are you an experienced sales professional who knows how to navigate long sales cycles, engage multiple stakeholders, and build trusted partnerships that deliver long-term value?

We're partnering with a highly regarded organisation that works closely with universities, government agencies and industry partners across Australia. As they continue to expand their footprint, they're looking for an experienced Account Manager to help drive growth, deepen existing partnerships and uncover new opportunities within a sophisticated stakeholder environment.

You'll inherit a strong platform for success, including an established client base, a respected brand and solutions that genuinely add value to the organisations they support. If you enjoy strategic conversations, consultative selling and seeing the long-term impact of your work, this is a rare opportunity to join a purpose-driven organisation.

The Opportunity

You'll be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of key accounts while also identifying and developing new business opportunities.

Success in this role will come from your ability to understand client challenges, navigate procurement and tender processes, engage diverse stakeholder groups and position solutions that deliver long-term value.

You'll work closely with senior leaders across education, government and industry, becoming a trusted advisor rather than a transactional salesperson.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic accounts

- Develop relationships with senior stakeholders across universities, government agencies and institutional organisations

- Identify and convert recent business opportunities

- Manage complex, consultative sales processes from initial engagement through to contract execution

- Respond to tenders, RFPs and procurement opportunities

- Lead client meetings, reviews and strategic discussions

- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful service delivery and client outcomes

- Maintain market awareness and identify emerging growth opportunities

About You

You'll likely have experience in the following:

- Selling solutions or services into universities, tertiary education providers, government agencies or other complex enterprise environments

- Managing lengthy sales cycles involving procurement processes, committees and multiple stakeholders

- Building relationships with senior executives, directors, department heads and procurement leaders

- Balancing account management responsibilities with new business development

- Working in a consultative, relationship-led sales environment where credibility and stakeholder engagement drive outcomes

You may come from sectors such as education technology, professional services, software, research, training, membership organisations or other complex B2B sales environments.

What's On Offer?

- Generous salary package of up to $160,000

- Performance-based incentive structure

- Hybrid working arrangement with flexibility to manage your own schedule

- Additional leave and wellbeing benefits

- High level of autonomy and ownership within your portfolio

- Collaborative, values-driven culture with robust leadership support

Interested?

If you've successfully sold into universities, government departments or other complex institutional environments and enjoy building long-term strategic relationships, apply now. If you have any questions and would like to have a confidential conversation, you can reach Sharna on (02) 8270 9***.
