Positive Behaviour Support | Melbourne / South East Melbourne

Full-time | Part-time considered

$115,000–$125,000 + super + performance bonus opportunity A senior PBS role with autonomy, complex work and genuine influence.

Complex Connect is expanding its Positive Behaviour Support service and is seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner with current NDIS practitioner suitability and demonstrated capability consistent with Proficient level or above.

This is a senior practitioner role for someone who values high-quality clinical work, professional autonomy and the opportunity to contribute to how a PBS service is developed and delivered.

Complex Connect is an established NDIS provider with existing sector relationships, referral pathways and experience working with participants whose circumstances may involve multiple services and systems.

Our approach to Positive Behaviour Support is grounded in person-centred, evidence-informed and rights-based practice. We are building the service deliberately, with a strong focus on quality, implementation and meaningful participant outcomes.

The successful practitioner will manage their own caseload while contributing to the establishment, quality and sustainable growth of the PBS service.

About Complex Connect

Complex Connect works with NDIS participants whose circumstances are often at the more complex end of the disability sector.

Our existing work regularly involves participants where disability intersects with mental health, justice, secure and forensic mental health services, housing instability, hospital and service transitions, complex support environments and multiple service systems.

We work alongside participants and the broader teams around them,

including mental health services, justice and forensic services, hospitals, support providers and other professionals, to understand what is occurring across the whole situation rather than viewing individual issues in isolation.

We are developing our PBS service to bring specialist behaviour support into the complex environments in which we already work — with a strong focus on understanding behaviour in context, meaningful implementation, reducing restrictive practices and improving outcomes for participants.

The role

You'll be responsible for delivering Positive Behaviour Support to your own participant caseload, including:

- functional behaviour assessment
- development, implementation and review of Behaviour Support Plans
- participant and stakeholder consultation
- implementation support and capacity building
- data collection, analysis and review
- restrictive practice reduction and elimination
- multidisciplinary collaboration
- high-quality clinical documentation.

Alongside your participant work, you'll contribute to the establishment, quality and sustainable growth of our Positive Behaviour Support service. About you To be considered, you will need:

- Current suitability as an NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner, with demonstrated capability consistent with Proficient level or above
- Relevant tertiary qualifications

- Demonstrated experience delivering Positive Behaviour Support
- Demonstrated judgement in complex or high-risk situations.
- Robust functional assessment and Behaviour Support Plan development skills
- Sound knowledge of NDIS Behaviour Support and restrictive practice requirements
- The ability to work autonomously within your capability
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Driver's licence and access to a vehicle.

Experience working with complex presentations and across mental health, housing, justice or other service systems will be highly regarded.

What the role offers

- $115,000–$125,000 + super, depending on experience and capability
- Professional autonomy appropriate to a senior practitioner role
- A participant caseload that includes complex and multidisciplinary work
- Dedicated scope for service development alongside participant practice
- Existing sector relationships and referral pathways
- Appropriate professional and clinical supervision, including external or peer supervision where required
- The opportunity to influence clinical systems, practice quality and how the service develops as the team grows
- An established NDIS organisation with existing referral pathways, systems and complex participant work
- Full-time employment, with part-time considered for the right practitioner
- Performance bonus opportunities linked to agreed service-growth objectives

Apply Please submit your CV and a brief cover letter outlining your Behaviour Support experience and interest in the position.

Applicants who meet the requirements of the role will be contacted for interview.
