We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a critical regulatory and business transformation initiative supporting the Australian Government Treasury's Scams Prevention Framework (SPF).
The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in strengthening TMBL's scam prevention and financial crime capabilities. Working closely with Financial Crimes Operations, Risk, Compliance, Technology, and business stakeholders, you will translate regulatory obligations and operational requirements into practical business solutions that enhance scam prevention, detection, investigation, disruption, and customer protection outcomes.
What You'll Be Doing
- Analyse fraud and scam prevention processes, controls, systems, and operational challenges.
- Elicit, document, and manage business requirements for SPF-related initiatives.
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions across business and technology teams.
- Identify gaps, risks, dependencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Translate regulatory and Treasury SPF requirements into actionable business outcomes.
- Develop process maps, business rules, user stories, acceptance criteria, and impact assessments.
- Support solution design, testing, implementation readiness, and business sign-off activities.
- Contribute to governance, reporting, risk assessment, and stakeholder decision-making.
About You
- Proven Senior Business Analyst experience within banking, financial services, payments, or another highly regulated industry.
- Direct experience supporting Financial Crimes Operations, including Fraud, Scams, AML/CTF, Investigations, or Transaction Monitoring.
- Strong understanding of scam and fraud prevention operations, customer intervention processes, investigations, case management, and remediation.
- Knowledge of the Australian Government Treasury's Scams Prevention Framework.
- Understanding of AUSTRAC obligations and AML/CTF regulatory requirements.
- Experience analysing and improving complex business processes and operational controls.
- Strong skills in requirements gathering, process mapping, business analysis, and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience working across business, technology, risk, compliance, and operational teams.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, documentation, and relationship management skills.
