Ready to use your economics expertise to influence policy and create meaningful change?
The Regional Australia Institute is looking for a Senior Economist to lead research, analysis and consulting projects that will help shape the future of regional Australia.
In this role you will:
- Provide economic insights and recommendations to inform policy, programs and initiatives.
- Monitor economic indicators and identify emerging trends affecting regional Australia.
- Lead and manage research and impact assessment projects.
- Support the translation of research into practical advocacy and policy outcomes.
- Manage stakeholder relationships with government, industry, research organisations and communities.
- Represent RAI at conferences, forums and industry events.
We're looking for someone with:
- Qualifications in Economics or a related discipline
- Experience in economic research, policy,
consulting or evaluation.
- Solid quantitative and analytical capability.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex economic concepts into practical recommendations
- Experience in project management and stakeholder engagement.
- An understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing regional communities.
