CBRE is looking for a Senior Facilities Manager to join our Canberra team and take responsibility for a portfolio of commercial assets.
This role will suit an experienced Facilities Manager who enjoys variety, autonomy and building robust relationships with clients and stakeholders. You'll oversee day-to-day operational delivery across the portfolio while supporting compliance, contractor management, risk management and building performance.
Working alongside an experienced team, you'll also have the opportunity to lead and develop a Facilities Manager while broadening your exposure to ESG initiatives, capital works projects and strategic asset planning.
In this role, you will:
- Oversee day-to-day FM delivery including building operations, PPM schedules, contractor performance, common area presentation and access control
- Ensure WHS compliance and manage all property risk items in line with CBRE and client requirements
- Manage essential services certification, the AFSS process, building compliance and asset registers
- Drive ESG performance across the portfolio and contribute to Strategic Asset Plans and sustainability targets
- Support capital works, tenant fit-out approvals and procurement activity
- Prepare monthly reports and attend key tenant and client meetings
- Direct management of 1 Facilities Manager
About You
You're an experienced Facilities Manager who enjoys taking ownership, building strong client relationships and being the person people rely on to get things done. You're technically capable, commercially aware and comfortable managing competing priorities across a portfolio environment.
You will bring
- 5+ years' experience in commercial facilities management
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, fire and essential building services
- Sound understanding of statutory compliance, risk management and FM best practice
- Experience managing contractors, budgets and stakeholder relationships
- Previous leadership experience or a desire to step into a people leadership role
- Australian Citizenship
Highly regarded:
- Experience working within government, secure or highly regulated environments
- Existing security clearance
