The role/n The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting strategic decision-making through robust financial insights. This role plays a key part in maintaining financial integrity and driving process improvements across the Finance function. What you'll be doing/n /n
- Manage and support the month-end close process, including general ledger integrity and reconciliations.
/n
- Perform loan book reconciliations and ensure accuracy of related entries.
/n
- Support daily payment processing and cash flow activities.
/n
- Act as the key point of contact for external audits and support the audit process.
/n
- Prepare financial statements in compliance with Australian Accounting Standards (AAS).
/n
- Handle compliance and regulatory reporting requirements, including statutory obligations.
/n
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely financial information.
/n
- Mentor and guide junior accountants, fostering technical development and best practices.
/n
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
/n
- Contribute to ad hoc projects and strategic finance initiatives as required.
/n What you'll need to succeed/n /n
- CA/CPA qualified with 4–6 years’ experience in financial accounting roles.
/n
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
/n
- Advanced Excel and ERP system experience (NetSuite preferred).
/n
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
/n
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
