We are seeking an enthusiastic and suitably experienced person for the role of Senior Health Information Management Officer.

There are two FTE positions available on a fixed term full time or fixed term part-time basis until 31/12/2028, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

Position Profile:

The Senior Health Information Management (HIM) Officer position in conjunction with the Chief HIM Officer will provide leadership and expertise to the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Program in the planning, design, and implementation of the Statewide EMR. This role will work collaboratively with the EMR Senior Information Officer positions to provide clinical support to the EMR Program by ensuring the implementation of a safe, efficient, and well-governed EMR.

The Senior HIM Officer is responsible for the engagement of HIM staff and stakeholders across the WA health system in the design and implementation of the statewide EMR and associated technologies.



This position will support the development of an engagement strategy that identifies the operational and educational impact of the EMR implementation.

Experience in large scale complex projects / statewide programs / reform agenda for whole of state, organisations, hospitals, or Health Service Provider/s is highly valued in this role.
