About the role

We have an opportunity for a Senior Manager, Priority Monitoring and Reporting to join the Centre for Epidemiology and Evidence to contribute to population health and broader public health objectives. The Senior Manager will be responsible for providing methodological leadership to a program of work designed to monitor priority programs and policies and generate evidence to inform policy and service planning.
What you will be doing The Senior Manager, Priority Monitoring and Reporting will sit within the Evidence and Evaluation Unit, Centre for Epidemiology and Evidence (CEE) and will:
- Use their high-level skills to provide methodological leadership to a program of work designed to monitor priority programs and policies and to generate evidence to inform policy and service planning.
- Manage and lead a team to carry out complex analyses of health and health-related data, including data derived from electronic health records, population health administrative data collections, survey data, and linked data.
- Lead a strategic program of work to turn complex and sometimes relatively uncurated data into timely, accessible information to meet the needs of stakeholders.
- Provide expert advice on the use and development of key indicators for monitoring the health of the NSW population, including in relation to the collection of information, the design of useful metrics and measures, and the development, review and approval of reports.
About you We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:
- High level monitoring and reporting skills, including real world study design and analysis of routinely collected health service data (including linked data).
- Experience exploring raw clinical data and transforming it into structured, meaningful concepts and formats for reporting and analysis.
- High level experience navigating complex data governance requirements and ensuring best practices in data security, quality, integrity, privacy, documentation, and availability.
- Demonstrated ability to lead the development and delivery of a transformational program of work.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
- Demonstrated ability to take a system and population-based view of information and undertake complex epidemiological and biostatistical analysis to improve health outcomes.
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications or equivalent, relevant professional experience and training.
