Role Description The Senior Project Engineer will lead and coordinate underground utilities projects from planning through delivery, ensuring technical excellence, safety, and compliance with client and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing project plans, scopes, and schedules; managing engineering design, technical reviews, and constructability assessments; and overseeing on-site project execution in collaboration with project managers, supervisors, and field teams. The role involves monitoring progress, budgets,



and risks; resolving technical issues; and preparing reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

The Senior Project

Engineer will also work closely with clients, authorities, and partners to maintain strong communication, manage expectations, and support continuous improvement in safety and productivity. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Melbourne Area.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Project Engineering skills relevant to underground utilities and infrastructure projects.
- Candidates should possess proven Project Management and Project Planning skills, including scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, field teams, and multidisciplinary stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess a degree in Civil Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience in utilities or infrastructure.
- Candidates should possess demonstrated experience in delivering complex infrastructure projects, with a robust focus on safety, quality, and compliance.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of relevant Australian standards, regulations, and utility industry practices, particularly in the Greater Melbourne Area.
- Candidates should possess strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture.
