About the Role

Senior Project Manager position requiring a disciplined approach to Project Management with direct reports. This role manages all stages of project delivery after award, including construction, commissioning, handover, and defects liability period. The position encompasses financial management, operations, customer relationship management, and people leadership within OBAN Group.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage project costs including total cost within approved budget, timely invoice processing, cash flow forecasting and reporting, and minimisation of Defect Liability Period costs

- Management of all stages of project delivery including as required scope definition, production of scope of works, planning and programming, construction, commissioning, handover, and defects liability period

- Ensure project specific and statutory requirements are met including Quality Assurance (QA), Work Health & Safety (WHS), Environmental, Sustainability, and Industrial Relations compliance

- Contract administration of project contractors, consultants and suppliers including preparation of contracts and documentation, review of contractor WHS documentation, assessment of works complete, liaison with client, day to day administration of contract terms and conditions, and payment processing

- Establish and maintain the project program including the critical path

- Ensure all WHS procedures and practices are followed at all times by Oban Group staff, project contractors, consultants and suppliers

- WHS management including conduct and documenting of project inspections, permit to work, risk assessment of tasks and safe work method statements





- Apply risk and opportunity management to all key decisions for the project

- Foster and maintain positive working relationships with clients, client sub-contractors, suppliers and consultants

- Actively promote team members to maximise their performance and realise their potential through coaching and mentoring

About You

- Strong demonstrated experience in the delivery of projects and/or Capex programs

- Solid demonstrated experience in relationship management with external clients and contractors with strong diplomacy and contract management

- Strong business acumen with demonstrated business planning and high-level financial knowledge and skills

- Experience in the management of WHS for construction sites (refurbishments/fit outs/new construction)

- Proven capability of working within an environment using QA, WHS and environmental systems

- Able to respond quickly to change and adopt a flexible/innovative approach to problems and opportunities

- Proficient in applications including Word, Excel, and MS Project

- Proven ability in working within an integrated services and property model delivering Property Management, Facilities Management and Project Management services

- Desirable: Certificate IV in WHS or extensive project management experience

- Desirable: Current General Induction for the Construction Industry card, Graduate Diploma of Project Management, Trade Certificate in relevant discipline, or Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline such as Architecture, Building/Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering or Quantity Surveying
