They are currently growing their Melbourne office, backed by a strong project pipeline and ambitious plans for the Victorian market. This presents a great opportunity to join the business during an exciting period of growth and play a key role within their expanding Melbourne team.
They are now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Contract Administrator to work on a major $150 million development.
About the Role:
As Senior Contract Administrator, you will take commercial ownership of significant trade packages across the full project lifecycle, from procurement and subcontractor appointment through construction, variations, claims and final account.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing major trade packages from procurement through to completion
- Preparing tender packages, scopes and subcontractor comparisons
- Negotiating and letting subcontract packages
- Managing progress claims, variations and contractual correspondence
- Cost reporting, forecasting and maintaining project budgets
- Identifying and managing commercial and contractual risks
- Working closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team
- Managing subcontractor performance and commercial outcomes
- Driving packages through final account and close-out
- Supporting junior commercial team members where required
Job Requirements:
To be considered for the role, you will ideally have:
- 5+ years' experience as a Contract Administrator / Senior Contract Administrator
- Experience working with a recognised Tier 1 or Tier 2 builder
- Project experience on developments valued at $100 million+
- Ideally, experience across apartments, hotels, student accommodation or similar large-scale developments
- Proven experience managing packages from procurement through to completion
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and subcontract administration
- Excellent commercial, negotiation and cost-management skills
- Strong forecasting and reporting capabilities
- Ability to independently manage multiple significant packages
- Relevant construction, quantity surveying or engineering qualifications
