- Major pipeline delivery scope: oversee and coordinate works for a 25 km underground DN1050 steel pipeline.
- End-to-end exposure: commence in Perth supporting tenders, engineering reviews and site preparation, then transition to site for construction delivery.
- High-impact site role: support contractor management, quality, safety, testing, documentation, handover and resolution of design/construction issues.

Our client is seeking two experienced Senior Pipeline Engineers to support the delivery of a significant large-diameter underground steel pipeline project.

The role will initially be based in Perth for approximately three months, supporting tender activities, engineering reviews and preparation for site works. The successful engineers will then transition to site for approximately six months to support construction delivery and management of the installation contractor.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee and coordinate engineering and construction activities for a 25 km underground DN1050 steel pipeline.
- Support tender preparation, technical evaluations, engineering reviews and construction readiness activities.
- Interpret and review technical drawings, plans, specifications and engineering documentation.
- Provide technical support during construction, testing, commissioning and handover.
- Manage and coordinate interfaces with the pipeline installation contractor, consultants, project managers and other engineers.
- Monitor construction progress, quality control and safety compliance.
- Conduct site inspections and verify work against relevant drawings, specifications, codes and standards.




- Ensure accurate project records including red-line markups, test reports, inspection records and as-built documentation.
- Support procurement and inspection of pipeline materials and equipment.
- Identify technical, schedule or construction risks and propose practical solutions.
- Support defect resolution, technical queries and implementation issues.
- Participate in HSE activities and actively promote safe work practices on site.

Skills & Experience

- Demonstrated pipeline engineering experience on large-scale construction or resources projects.
- Strong experience with large-diameter buried steel pipelines highly desirable.
- Practical understanding of pipeline construction, installation, testing, quality and handover.
- Experience managing or coordinating construction contractors and engineering consultants.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
- Solid understanding of construction QA/QC, inspection records, test documentation, red-lines and as-builts.
- Ability to identify construction constraints, delays and technical issues and drive practical resolution.
- Strong stakeholder communication and site coordination skills.
- Sound knowledge of relevant pipeline, construction, safety and quality standards.
- Mining/resources, water infrastructure, slurry, dewatering or similar heavy industrial pipeline experience advantageous.
