About the Role Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the EL2 Director Budgets and Reporting will provide strategic leadership across budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and financial management activities.
You will be responsible for driving financial sustainability, delivering high-quality budget outcomes, providing trusted advice to senior executives and leading a team responsible for the development and management of internal and external budget processes.
This is a critical leadership position for a forward-thinking finance professional who thrives in a dynamic workplace and enjoys influencing strategic outcomes at the highest levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of budget management strategies and financial plans
- Provide strategic financial advice, analysis and insights to executive stakeholders
- Oversee internal and external budget processes, reporting and forecasting activities
- Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting to senior leadership and governance committees
- Identify, manage and mitigate budget risks while ensuring compliance and financial integrity
- Enable effective financial business partnering across the organisation
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across budgeting and reporting functions
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team to achieve financial and operational outcomes
About You:
You will demonstrate:
- Extensive experience in budget management, forecasting and financial reporting
- Strong strategic thinking and the ability to develop and implement financial strategies
- Experience providing high-level financial advice to senior executives
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate complex financial information into actionable insights
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement and influencing capabilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
