We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Rostering Officer to join our bespoke rostering team to help provide exceptional customer service and facilitate client service delivery across all Lutheran Disability Services Operations. This important role has an impact on the rest of the team and broader LDS and is vital to our mission and service delivery.

The Rostering Officer at Lutheran Disability Services plays a crucial role in ensuring that the staffing needs of the organisation are met effectively and efficiently. This position involves coordinating and managing staff schedules to provide optimal support for clients while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
About the role
- Coordinate staff rosters to ensure adequate coverage and provide accurate and timely roster schedules to staff and client services
- Monitor attendance, leave requests, and shift changes to optimise workforce allocation.
- Communicate with staff and management regarding roster changes, availability, and any scheduling issues.
- Work flexibly and laterally to address staffing shortages or surpluses and adjust rosters accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of staff hours worked, leave balances, and other relevant data.
- Ability to interpret the SCHADS Award and apply it to roster schedules and payroll
- Provide on-call support as required
- Coordinate and book employee training sessions and team meetings
The successful candidate will be proactive in problem-solving, possess robust organisational skills, and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality service to both staff and clients.

- Understanding of relevant legislation and compliance requirements in disability
- Experience in a community services sector with an understanding of the criticality of the rostering function
- Previous experience working with diverse teams and understanding their needs in service delivery settings
