We’re looking for a Senior Client Manager to join Brunch’s Agency team for a 12-month parental leave cover, starting December / January.

About the role

This is a role for someone who knows agency life inside out. In a single day you might run a pitch meeting, design a project plan, run a team 1:1, and review deliverables before they go back to clients, so this role is for someone who is happiest working at pace and is comfortable balancing project work with relationship management. You keep things moving, know when to push back on a brief or scope, and bring the right people together to get the best outcome.

Reporting to the Agency Director, you'll lead a small team and be accountable for your portfolio from strategy through to delivery, growth, and profitability.

- Reports to: Agency Director

- Leads: 2 x Account Managers, 1 x Designer

- Location: Hybrid, Fitzroy (2–3 days in office, typically Mon, Wed, Fri)

- Type: 0.8–1.0 FTE (4 or 5 days per week), 12-month parental leave contract with opportunity to extend

Key responsibilities

- Act as the senior point of contact for a portfolio of key clients, owning the relationship end-to-end and taking accountability for revenue, margin, scope and retention

- Grow accounts through upsell and cross-sell, and support new business by leading pitches and proposals to warm prospects

- Oversee ongoing marketing retainers with your account managers, making sure each one delivers measurable value and stays profitable

- Lead complex projects from scoping and planning through to delivery, keeping work on time, on budget and on brief

- Bring together designers, developers, freelancers and production partners to deliver high-quality work, resolving blockers and keeping everyone aligned

- Mentor your team through regular 1:1s and take accountability for the quality of your team’s work

- Report on revenue, margin and utilisation to the Agency Director





- Contribute to agency-wide improvements in process, ways of working and client service standards

About you

- 7+ years in account management or client services at a creative or marketing agency

- Strong commercial acumen, with a clear understanding of revenue, margin and scope

- A proactive approach, with the ability to identify and nurture current business opportunities

- Strong leadership, communication, and client management skills

- A supportive and collaborative approach to mentoring and team development

- Experience in traffic management and/or managing designers, and confidence giving clear creative feedback

- Familiarity with tools such as ClickUp, Figma, Canva, Klaviyo, Creative Cloud, Claude, Google Analytics and Shopify is a bonus

- Strong project delivery experience across marketing, branding, design and/or ecommerce
