We have exciting opportunities for skilled and dedicated Chefs to join our team on a casual at our Not-for-Profit Aged Care Facility located in Camberwell on a Permanent Part Time (2 Days per week on a Friday and Saturday) basis. With 102 residents to serve, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality hospitality and catering services that enrich the lives of our residents.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook delicious and nutritious meals in adherence to our food safety plan and relevant regulatory requirements.

- Supervise and provide guidance to Catering Services Assistants, ensuring the smooth operation of our food services.

- Demonstrate a positive 'can do' approach, fostering a warm and welcoming dining experience for residents.

- Utilise your expertise in the aged care sector to meet the unique dietary and nutritional needs of our senior residents.

- Demonstrate a sound knowledge and understanding of the IDDSI framework to ensure safe and appropriate food textures for individuals with dysphagia.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a chef 3-5 years,



preferably within an aged care sector or similar setting.

- Formal qualifications as a chef, showcasing your culinary skills and knowledge.

- Familiarity with the IDDSI framework and its application in aged care dining.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and team members.
