Western District Health Service is seeking an experienced and passionate Speech Pathologist Coordinator to lead our Speech Pathology service across the Southern Grampians region.
This unique leadership opportunity combines clinical practice, service development, people leadership and community engagement. Working across acute, sub-acute, community and aged care settings, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of Speech Pathology services while supporting clients of all ages to achieve the best possible communication and swallowing outcomes.
Based in Hamilton, you'll coordinate services across Hamilton, Coleraine and Penshurst while supporting a dedicated team of Speech Pathology professionals.

What You'll Be Doing
Clinical Leadership
Lead and coordinate a comprehensive Speech Pathology service across acute, sub-acute,
community and aged care settings while maintaining high standards of clinical care.
Service Development & Coordination
Plan, develop and coordinate Speech Pathology services across WDHS and regional partnerships, ensuring services continue to meet community needs.
Staff Supervision & Development
Provide clinical supervision, reflective learning, mentoring and professional support to Speech Pathology staff and students.
Quality Improvement & Research
Lead quality improvement activities, service evaluation and research initiatives that contribute to contemporary, evidence-based practice.
Education & Community Engagement
Deliver education and training to staff and community groups while promoting awareness of communication and swallowing disorders throughout the region.
What You Bring
- Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
- Eligibility for registration with Speech Pathology Australia
- Experience working with children
- Demonstrated experience coordinating clinical services
- Experience supervising and supporting staff
- Strong leadership and service development capability
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience managing communication and swallowing disorders across a range of settings
- Current Driver's Licence
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Rights to work in Australia
Desirable
- Relevant program training such as Sounds-Write, Lidcombe Program or Hanen It Takes Two to Talk
- Experience leading quality improvement and research activities
