About the Team
The Town's Ranger Service is responsible for contributing to community safety, protecting public amenity, and administering a range of regulatory functions, including parking control, animal management and fire risk management. Through an education-first approach to compliance, the Service seeks to achieve positive outcomes for the community while ensuring legislative obligations are met.
About the role
The purpose of this role is to lead an efficient and effective Ranger service, that promotes well-being, safety and respect in the community and achieves high standards of compliance with statutory obligations. It also plays a key role in leading operational service delivery and supporting continuous improvement within the Ranger Service.
About you
The successful candidate will have:
- At least 5 years Local Government experience and/or previous experience as a Senior Ranger (desirable)
- Completed the Regulatory Officer Compliance Skills 1 and 2, or equivalent (essential)
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills (essential)
- Current WA "C" class driver's licence (essential)
- Current National Police Clearance (essential)
- Possession of a Certificate IV in Local Government (Regulatory Services) (desirable)
- Completed First Aid training (desirable)

Salary and Benefits
This Permanent full-time position attracts a salary of between $103,000 and $108,668 per annum plus superannuation.
The Town also offers up to 4% additional superannuation (conditions apply), free parking, ongoing training and professional development, and up to two additional leave days per calendar year.
Working Hours
The position is permanent full-time, 76 hours per fortnight and is based on a ranger roster system with weekends as required.
