Coordinator, Information Security Governance, Risk and Compliance in Digital Business Solutions, Administrative Division

- Reference number: 26550
- Term: Ongoing, full-time basis.
- Remuneration: $111,341 to $120,557 pa (HEW6) (inclusive of $94,084 to $101,872 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading).
- Location: Kelvin Grove (hybrid option available).

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Coordinator, Information Security Governance, Risk and Compliance to join Digital Business Solutions, Administrative Division.

The Coordinator, Information Security Governance, Risk and Compliance contributes to the delivery of information security governance, risk management, control assurance and compliance activities aligned to QUT’s Information Security Policy framework, regulatory obligations and institutional risk appetite. The role operates as an experienced practitioner within the Information Security function, providing delivery of defined activities and supporting the production of evidence-based risk and compliance outputs. The Coordinator works collaboratively with stakeholders across faculties, divisions and project teams to ensure risks are identified, assessed and managed in accordance with security policies, standards and regulatory obligations. The position supports the implementation of control assurance processes, including the collection and validation of evidence and maintenance of governance artefacts. This position reports to the Principal Consultant, Information Security Governance, Risk and Compliance for career planning, development and performance expectations.

What you need to succeed

1. Education, training and/or experience equivalent to completion of a degree in an IT-related discipline in conjunction with relevant experience in a standards-based environment.
2. Demonstrated experience in information security risk assessment, control validation or compliance activities.
3. Working knowledge of information security frameworks including ISO 27001, ISO 31000 and NIST CSF.
4. Demonstrated ability to produce structured, evidence-based outputs including risk assessments and control reviews.
5. Effective communication and stakeholder engagement capability across technical and non-technical audiences.
6. Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes with moderate autonomy.
7. Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and Indigenous Australian engagement.
