Your opportunity
As a Water Industry Operator, your work ensures our communities enjoy a protected, reliable and uninterrupted water supply. By operating and maintaining the region’s treatment plants, pump stations, and reservoirs, you’ll be an essential guardian of your community’s health and wellbeing, supporting families and industries to thrive.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Maintaining vital water infrastructure: Operating and servicing the treatment plants, pump stations and reservoirs that keep our towns moving
- Ensuring water quality & safety:
Undertaking regular water testing and chemical dosing to meet strict regulatory and environmental safety standards
- Solving technical challenges: Promptly identifying network faults, assisting with job planning, and completing safety risk assessments before starting work
What you’ll bring
To step into this role, you will need the following non-negotiable certifications and qualifications:
- Queensland Class C manual driver licence
- General Construction Induction Card (White Card) or ability to obtain prior to commencement
- Willingness and ability to undertake a range of training including working at heights, breathing apparatus and confined space training
- Commitment to participating in an on-call roster to support the community when needed
- Willingness to obtain a Certificate III in Water Industry Operations (we will fully fund this certificate and provide hands-on mentoring to help you succeed)

- A practical, solution-focused mindset: You’re someone who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves, take initiative, and solve problems on the ground
