About the role
The Guardian Angel Preschool is seeking an experienced Diploma-qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our small, supportive team.
This is a Monday–Thursday contract position until May 2027, with the view to continue beyond this time. We are looking for an educator who is confident, capable and passionate about providing high-quality care and education to young children, while being part of a close-knit service where relationships really matter.
This role would suit an educator who enjoys being actively involved on the floor, is confident working independently when required, and understands that quality early childhood education is built through everyday interactions, meaningful relationships, intentional teaching and responsive care.
We are looking for someone who will become a valued member of our team and contribute positively to our warm, inclusive and supportive service.
Key responsibilities
- Work Monday to Thursday as part of our permanent educator team
- Support children across our multi-age environment
- Contribute to our educational program and children's learning
- Build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Support children with a range of abilities, strengths and additional needs
- Maintain active supervision and children's safety at all times
- Contribute to programming, observations, documentation and assessment for learning
- Actively contribute to a Child Safe culture and follow mandatory reporting and child protection requirements
About you
- Experienced educator with a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
- Has strong experience working in early childhood education and care
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of Child Safe Standards and child protection responsibilities
- Is confident identifying and responding to risks to children's safety and wellbeing
- Is confident supporting children with additional needs and adapting approach to individual children
- Is able to remain calm, patient and responsive when children are experiencing big emotions or challenging moments
- Is comfortable working within a Christian service and respectful of Christian values and ethos
- Subject to Working With Children Check, verification of qualifications, recent reference checks and other screening and suitability requirements
