QuickTurn Hospitality Services is recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established hospitality business in Regional NSW, seeking an experienced Chef to join their team.
The successful candidate will have proven experience working in a busy restaurant or commercial kitchen and will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals while maintaining food safety, hygiene, and kitchen standards.
Responsibilities:
- Planning menus and estimating food and labour costs
- Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
- Preparing and cooking food
- Discussing food preparation issues with Managers and Kitchen staff
- Demonstrating techniques
- Enforcing hygiene regulations
- May select and train staff
- May freeze and preserve foods
Experience and Requirements:
- 2+ years experience
- Experience training, developing and mentoring kitchen teams
- Robust communication skills
- Willingness to lead and demonstrate passion cooking
