The Opportunity

RPM Hire is seeking a reliable and motivated Barrier Forklift Operator to join our NSW Barrier team! Reporting directly to the Barrier Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in supporting day-to-day operations and keeping our yard running safely and efficiently. This is a great opportunity for someone with a positive, can-do attitude who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys being part of a collaborative team.

Role Overview

As a full-time Barrier Forklift Operator, you’ll ensure the safe and efficient movement of our traffic management equipment. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, maintaining stock levels in the yard, and assisting with the upkeep of our hire equipment, and delivering or collecting company assets when required.





You will also be trained across different areas of the business and may occasionally assist with other operational duties when required. While the role offers exposure to broader areas of RPM Hire, the primary focus will remain within barrier operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely load and unload trucks and utes as required
- Operate the forklift to move, organise and prepare hire equipment and water barriers
- Support the day-to-day requirements of the Barrier Operations team
- Deliver and collect company assets and equipment when required
- Ensure assets and equipment are safely loaded and secured for transport
- Maintain a tidy, safe, and organised yard environment
- Monitor and manage equipment stock levels in collaboration with the operations team
- Assist the Returns Coordinator with equipment inspections and damage reporting
- Follow correct safety procedures and company processes at all times

What You Will Bring

- Current Forklift Licence – essential
- Current and valid car driver’s licence – essential
- Proven forklift operating experience
- Robust work ethic, punctuality, and reliability
- Ability to work safely with a strong focus on WHS standards
