The role
As a Disability Support Worker, you'll work alongside participants to help them achieve their goals. Day to day, this may include:

- Supporting personal care, daily living and household tasks
- Assisting with community access, social activities and employment goals
- Supporting individuals with complex needs, personal care and manual handling
- Building positive, respectful relationships with participants and their families
- Documenting shift notes and following each participant's support plan

About you

- 1 years' experience in disability support, aged care or community services
- Experience supporting participants with complex needs, behaviours of concern, autism, psychosocial disabilities and ABI
- Strong documentation, reporting and incident-management skills
- Ability to work independently and mentor newer team members

Essential requirements

- A current Australian driver’s licence (minimum P2)
- A Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain them
- Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain.
- Rights to work in Australia
- Availability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts across a 7-day roster, including the ability to complete a minimum of two sleepover shifts per week
