Planning Officer
Looking for a planning role where you can make a real difference in the community?
We are seeking a Planning Officer to join our Development Team and help deliver quality planning outcomes across the municipality. You will work on a variety of planning applications, provide advice to the public and developers, and contribute to the sustainable growth of our region.
What you will be doing
- Assessing and processing planning permit applications.
- Providing planning advice to residents, developers and internal stakeholders.
- Conducting site inspections and preparing reports and recommendations.
- Assisting with planning scheme amendments and compliance matters.
- Building positive relationships with the community and development industry.
What you will bring
- A qualification in Town Planning, Urban Studies or a related field (or currently studying with relevant experience).
- Knowledge of planning legislation and statutory planning processes.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Well-developed communication and report writing skills.
- A commitment to customer service and continuous improvement.
- A current Victorian Driver Licence.
- A Police Check will be conducted on the preferred applicant.

What we offer?
- Permanent Full time role with genuine work-life balance
- Salary ranging between $78,873 and $89,807 per annum dependent upon qualifications and experience plus 15% superannuation.
- Four weeks annual leave + 17.5 % leave loading
- 12 days personal (sick/carer's) leave

- Long service leave (pro-rata after 7 years)
