Kimberley Land Council is looking for an experienced and practical Regional Infrastructure Project Coordinator to help plan, develop and deliver building and infrastructure projects across remote communities.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with KLC management, communities, contractors and internal teams to deliver and maintain facilities including ranger bases, offices, workstations, sheds and staff accommodation.

Responsibilities

You will bring practical project management experience, strong organisational skills and the confidence to coordinate infrastructure projects across remote communities. You will manage projects from planning through to delivery, keeping budgets, timelines, safety and quality on track.

- Researching, improving and procuring infrastructure solutions suited to remote Kimberley locations
- Working with communities and KLC teams to establish agreements for current and existing facilities
- Developing project plans, budgets and risk assessments
- Managing infrastructure and site development projects across regional locations
- Coordinating contractors and suppliers and keeping projects on track
- Managing project budgets, progress reporting and financials
- Overseeing the condition and maintenance of buildings and supporting infrastructure
- Working closely with our WHS Advisor to ensure facilities are safe and suitable for employees, contractors and visitors
- Monitoring safety, quality, contractual compliance and value for money
- Providing clear, practical updates on project progress, issues and outcomes

Qualifications & Experience

- A qualification in Project Management, Civil Engineering, or another relevant field. Extensive practical experience in related fields may be considered;
- Experience and confidence working with Aboriginal communities, with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with Aboriginal people.
- Understanding and knowledge of Aboriginal social and cultural challenges in Northern or Central Australia,



with a commitment to community empowerment.
- Understanding of Native Title, land tenure, and community governance
- A collaborative attitude with a high degree of integrity and an ability to work well in a team, independently, and with colleagues and partners across the region and country
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports for a range of audiences and communicate sensitively and effectively with both indigenous and non-indigenous stakeholders
- Ability to manage a broad range of stakeholders with differing or conflicting views and interests.
- A current C Class driver’s licence, with a manual licence preferred.
- A Western Australian Working with Children Check (WWC), or the ability to obtain one.
- Experience delivering civil infrastructure and streetscape projects
- Confidence taking ownership and driving outcomes across multiple stakeholders.
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
