Overview of the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Research Assistant - Level A to join our team in Randwick, New South Wales. This full-time contract position is essential for supporting the delivery of high-quality clinical research activities and patient care initiatives.

The position involves working within a clinical research workplace and collaborating closely with clinicians, patients, research participants and researchers. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating patient appointments and research activities, identifying and referring suitable clinic patients to research opportunities, collecting and managing research data, and assisting with research assessments and study procedures.

The role will also involve maintaining study documentation, supporting the day-to-day operational requirements of research projects, and ensuring research activities are conducted efficiently and in accordance with study requirements. Strong organisational and interpersonal skills are essential,



along with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare and research setting. Previous experience in a clinical research environment would be highly regarded but is not essential.

Responsibilities of the Role:

- Collaborate with doctors, patients and researchers in a face-to-face research environment.
- Coordinate patient and participant follow-up, including scheduling and re-booking appointments and maintaining ongoing engagement.
- Manage REDCap and research databases, including accurate and timely data entry, updating records and maintaining data quality.
- Identify and support the referral of suitable clinic patients to relevant research opportunities.
- Liaise with patients, participants, clinicians and researchers to coordinate research activities and follow up outstanding information.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the research team, including maintaining study documentation and records in accordance with protocols and ethical requirements.
- Project co-ordination and participant liaison
- Data management and analysis
- Other duties commensurate with the role, as reasonably required

To be successful in this Role, you will need:

Essential Qualifications and Experience





- Tertiary qualifications or an equivalent combination of education, training and relevant experience.
- Experience working in a research, healthcare or patient-facing environment, preferably with people living with dementia or other neurodegenerative diseases.

Skills and Knowledge

- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in data entry, data management and maintaining research records.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate sensitively and professionally with participants, families, clinicians and colleagues.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage participant follow-up, appointment scheduling, data entry and competing priorities while working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
