Hills Housing & Disability Services (HHDS) is seeking caring, reliable and motivated people to join our team through full time traineeship opportunities in the disability and community services sector. This is an ideal pathway to build a rewarding career supporting people with disability, and community members to live with dignity, choice and independence.

Be employed by HHDS while being paid to complete nationally recognised training, gain practical workplace experience and receive coaching from experienced staff.

Available Traineeship Pathways

· Certificate III in Individual Support – Disability

· Certificate IV in Disability Support

· Certificate III or IV pathways in Community Services, where available and aligned with business needs

About the Role

Work alongside experienced support workers and clinical staff to learn how to provide safe, respectful and person-centred support. Assist clients with personal care, domestic supports, meal preparation, community access, social participation, transport support, documentation and following individual care plans.

You will be supported to develop practical skills in communication, safeguarding, infection prevention, manual handling, positive behaviour support, duty of care, confidentiality, and working within NDIS and community environments.

Pay and conditions will be assessed in line with the applicable award and traineeship wage arrangements. Standard traineeship wages may apply for eligible trainees.

· Genuine communication skills and a respectful, person-centred approach

· Reliability, punctuality and willingness to work as part of a team

· Ability to follow instructions, policies, procedures and care plans

· Keen to complete study requirements and workplace learning tasks

· Obtain required screening checks online e.g. NDIS Worker Screening, Working with Children Check

· Driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
