Western District Health Service is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Speech Pathologists (Grade 1 / Grade 2) to join our growing Primary and Preventative Health team.

What You'll Be Doing

Clinical Assessment & Intervention

Assess and manage communication and swallowing disorders,



providing evidence-based interventions that support positive outcomes for clients and their families.

Diverse Caseload

Deliver Speech Pathology services across acute, subacute, community and aged care settings, developing broad clinical skills and experience.

Multidisciplinary Collaboration

Work closely with nursing, medical, allied health and community providers to deliver coordinated, person-centred care.

Education & Community Engagement

Provide education and training to staff, carers and community groups while promoting awareness of communication and swallowing disorders throughout the region.

Quality Improvement & Professional Development

Participate in supervision, reflective practice, quality improvement activities and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Leadership Opportunities (Grade 2)

Support staff and student learning through supervision, mentoring and professional role modelling, as appropriate.

What You Bring

- Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
- Eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia
- Experience working with children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to person-centred and evidence-based care
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
- Current Driver's Licence
- NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check and Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Rights to work in Australia

Desirable

- Training in literacy programs such as Sounds Write
- Experience with the Lidcombe Program for stuttering
- Experience with Hanen "It Takes Two to Talk"
- Previous experience across community, acute or aged care settings
