We are seeking a friendly, reliable and organised Dental Receptionist to join our team. This is a varied role within our practice, where you will be an important part of creating a positive experience for our patients. As the first point of contact for many of our patients, you will play a key role in helping ensure the day-to-day operations of the practice run smoothly and efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Answering incoming calls and assisting patients with enquiries
- Welcoming patients and providing a warm, professional experience
- Managing a busy appointment book, coordinating appointments and complex treatments
- Monitoring and responding to emails
- Following up referrals, x-rays, scans and other information required for appointments
- Liaising with referring practices and other healthcare professionals
- Processing payments, including HICAPS and DVA/PRODA
- Managing billing and patient accounts
- Completing end-of-day banking and reconciliation
About you
- Previous dental reception experience essential, ideally 2+ years' experience as a Receptionist/Dental Assistant
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritise in a busy environment
- High attention to detail
- Proactive and solution-focused approach when faced with challenges or unexpected situations
- Communicates confidently and professionally with patients, dentists, specialists and other healthcare professionals
- The ability to work independently while also being a supportive team member
- Dental implant knowledge and experience will be highly regarded
- Experience with dental software (Exact preferred), Word, Outlook and HICAPS/EFT
