About the opportunity
Are you passionate about giving infants and toddlers the best possible start in life? Hazelwood Early Childhood Centre is seeking a qualified Certificate III Educator to join our cooperative team in a permanent full-time role.
As part of Connect Children and Families, Hazelwood provides specialist education and care for children aged six weeks to three years. Children then transition to Connect’s Possum Early Childhood Centre for the three-to-five-year program.
You will help create a nurturing, respectful and responsive environment where every child feels safe, secure and confident to explore. You will build meaningful relationships with children and families and contribute to purposeful learning spaces that encourage curiosity, independence and holistic development.

About you
You are a warm, playful and reflective educator who champions children’s rights and understands the importance of the earliest years. You will also have:
- A Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, or an approved equivalent qualification
- A sound understanding of infant and toddler development
- Current First Aid, CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis qualifications
- A valid Working with Children Check and National Police Check
- A commitment to respectful, responsive and relationship-based practice
- Strong teamwork and open communication skills
- A commitment to ongoing learning and reflective practice
Key responsibilities
- Provide nurturing, responsive care and high-quality education for children aged six weeks to three years.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan, document and deliver programs that support each child’s learning, wellbeing and development.
- Build strong, trusting partnerships with children and families.
- Contribute to reflective practice, continuous improvement and ongoing professional learning.
