Field Equipment Engineer | Initial 6-Month Contract with Strong Potential for Permanent Employment

We are partnering with a leading global manufacturer and supplier of specialised process solutions used across industries including water treatment, mining, manufacturing, infrastructure and industrial processing. With a strong reputation for innovation, technical expertise and customer support, the organisation continues to invest in its Australian operations and is seeking a Field Equipment Engineer to join its team in Lara.
This chance is being offered as an initial 6-month contract, with a genuine pathway to permanent employment for the right person.
Your new role
As a Field Equipment Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting the installation, commissioning, maintenance and optimisation of specialised equipment at customer sites.
- Install and commission industrial process and dosing equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance, servicing and breakdown support.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and instrumentation faults.
- Support equipment upgrades, modifications and improvement initiatives.
- Conduct site inspections and equipment performance assessments.
- Provide technical support and training to customers and site personnel.
- Prepare service reports, technical documentation and maintenance records.
- Liaise closely with customers to identify and resolve operational issues.
- Ensure all activities are completed in accordance with safety, quality and environmental standards.
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum 3 years project management experience
- Project management qualification or a Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic, Chemical or related discipline
- Experience working with industrial equipment, pumps, fluid handling systems, process equipment or automation systems.
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Experience within manufacturing, water treatment, mining, chemical processing, utilities or similar industries.
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and equipment manuals.
- Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
