Excavator Operator
to join our team on a

Based in Geelong VIC ****. As a Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating backhoe equipment on various construction and civil engineering sites, playing a crucial part in the successful completion of our projects.

Key responsibilities
Operate backhoe machinery safely and efficiently in accordance with all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies
Perform pre-operational inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure it is in good working order
Excavate, load and move materials such as soil, rock and debris with precision and accuracy
Work in collaboration with site supervisors, surveyors and other team members to complete tasks to specification
Maintain accurate records of work completed and machinery hours
Identify and report any equipment faults or safety concerns to supervisors promptly
Adhere to site-specific instructions and safety protocols at all times
Assist with site setup, cleanup and general site maintenance as required




What we're looking for
Current Backhoe operation or equivalent certification
Minimum of 5 years' demonstrable experience operating backhoe equipment on construction or earthmoving sites
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to plant operation and construction sites
Excellent spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination
Physical fitness and ability to work in varying weather conditions
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
Current driver's licence
White Card (Construction Induction)
