Best Life Therapy is looking for a proactive Allied Health Assistant to support neurodivergent children and families.
Our approach is goal-driven, with a focus on key childhood occupations including play, sports, handwriting, learning, daily routines and more. Sessions may take place in homes, schools, kinders and community settings.
You will have clear direction with tailored occupational therapy plans developed by our Senior Occupational Therapist, while having autonomy to use your own skills, judgement and creativity in how you engage and implement sessions.

What to Expect
This role is designed to work around your existing commitments.
You provide your regular availability, including the days and times you can consistently work, and suitable clients are matched within that availability.
You will independently communicate with families regarding appointments and manage your own scheduling within your agreed availability.




We currently support families across areas including Werribee, Hoppers Crossing, Wyndham Vale, Truganina, Caroline Springs, St Kilda and surrounding suburbs. Caseload location will be matched to your location and availability preferences.
Weekday, after-school and weekend opportunities are available depending on client needs.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
Enjoys working with children
Has a neuro-affirming and strength-based approach
Can work independently to implement therapy plans.
Is physically fit and comfortable being active including playing on the floor, and facilitating sporting activities.
Can communicate confidently with children, families, schools and the clinical team
Has solid and timely documentation
Can reliably maintain agreed appointment schedules
Shows respect to different cultures and family structures
Is open to supervision, feedback and ongoing learning
Qualifications & Experience
Relevant bachelor qualification or current study in Occupational Therapy, Education/Teaching, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy, Health Science or a related field.
Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or a relevant diploma also accepted.




Minimum 1 year relevant experience is required.
Essential Requirements
Working with Children Check
Police Check
Victorian driver licence and own vehicle
What We Offer
$40–$50 per hour, negotiable based on experience
Kilometre reimbursement for travel between clients
Caseloads matched to you around study, family and other commitments
Initial shadowing and onboarding support into our established OT–AHA model
Clear, actionable therapy plans to structure your sessions, with autonomy in how you implement it.
Regular clinical guidance, case discussion and supervision with our Senior Occupational Therapist
Exposure to paediatrics, neurodiversity and community occupational therapy
About Best Life Therapy

About the Team
Satinder is a Senior Occupational Therapist with experience across paediatrics, mental health and workplace rehabilitation, with a current focus on preventative health and neurodivergent wellbeing. She is an experienced supervisor with a thoughtful, practical and straightforward approach.
Karan is an Allied Health Assistant and Community Specialist currently studying Occupational Therapy. He brings a warm, compassionate and dedicated approach and works closely with children and families around everyday skills, community participation and therapy goals.
