Avive Alphington is seeking an experienced and reliable
Cleaning Supervisor
to lead and support our cleaning team in maintaining a safe, hygienic and welcoming environment. The working hours will be:
Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm
.
The successful applicant will have relevant supervisory cleaning experience, ideally within a
mental health, healthcare, hospital, aged care, disability services or similar environment
. You will be responsible for coordinating daily cleaning operations and ensuring high standards are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise, support and coordinate cleaning staff
Allocate daily tasks and monitor work completion
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and infection control
Complete regular inspections and quality audits
Ensure cleaning procedures, safety requirements and site protocols are followed
Manage cleaning chemicals, equipment and stock levels
Respond promptly to client and site requirements
Train and mentor team members
Report and undertake any maintenance issues, incidents and supply requirements
Maintain accurate cleaning and compliance records
Promote a respectful, safe and skilled workplace
About you
Relevant experience in
mental health or a comparable healthcare or supported-care setting
Understanding of infection control, chemical safety and safe cleaning practices
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and lead a team
Professional, dependable and compassionate approach
Ability to work respectfully around clients, residents, staff and visitors
Current police check and any relevant healthcare or disability screening requirements, or willingness to obtain them
Appropriate work rights in Australia
