About the roleWe are seeking a Senior Civil Site Supervisor to join our team at our Direk SA **** location.
This is a full time position that plays a crucial leadership role in the successful delivery of our civil engineering projects.
As Senior Civil Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing site operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, managing teams, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
This position is integral to our project success and directly impacts our ability to deliver projects on time and to specification.
Key responsibilities
Supervise, coordinate and manage all on-site activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standardsLead and manage site teams, including labourers, tradespeople and subcontractors, providing clear direction and supportMonitor compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular safety audits and toolbox talks to maintain a safe working environmentManage site schedules and ensure project deadlines are met whilst maintaining quality outcomesInspect work in progress and completed work to verify adherence to specifications, drawings and industry standardsMaintain accurate site records, including daily logs, progress reports and safety documentationLiaise with project managers, clients,



engineers and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordinationIdentify and address site issues promptly, implementing solutions that minimise delays and cost overrunsManage site resources, including equipment, materials and personnel, ensuring optimal utilisationConduct inductions and training for new site staff and ensure ongoing professional development of the team
What we're looking for
Minimum 10 years' experience in civil construction, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or foreperson roleProven experience managing large-scale civil engineering projects, such as infrastructure, earthworks, or structural worksStrong knowledge of health and safety regulations, including relevant codes of practice and risk management proceduresDemonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams of varying sizes and skill levelsExcellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesStrong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levelsProficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications and construction plansExperience with site documentation and record-keeping systemsCompetency in identifying quality issues and implementing corrective actionsFull driver's licence and willingness to travel as requiredRelevant Site Supervisor Experience, Construction Safety Certificate, or equivalent trade qualification are highly valued
