Mater Private Hospital Redlands is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Nurse to work primarily across Mater Hospital Redlands as an After Hours Manager.The successful applicant will have current clinical experience with a broad knowledge of clinical nursing.
The position will be offered on a casualbasis.The After-Hours Nurse Manager (AHM) is responsible for the organisation and management of the hospital outside of normal working hours.
By providing a clear focus for operational leadership, the AHM facilitates provision of a high standard of holistic patient/client centred care, to maximise effective management of clinical, financial and human resources within a quality and risk management framework.Salary range: $***** - $***** per hour plus casual loadingplus superannuationandaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900+access to many staff benefits!
What you'll be doingThe After Hours Nurse Manager will be responsible for the safe, efficient and effective leadership and management of the facility after business hours.
The After Hours Manager is an essential leadership role will be responsible to ensure collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, business management and leadership outside of normal hours.Provide advice and assistance to less experienced staff as requiredAssume a leadership role acting as a role model and professional resource to staffEstablishes and maintains positive working relationships with diverse groups of service partners and the wider community through effective communication and complaint management strategiesCommunicate directly with the Patient Flow Manager through participation at meetingsEnsure policies,
protocols and procedures are available to staffDelegate activities and authority to relevant staff, commensurate with their abilities, experience, and scope of practiceAbout youTo be successful in your application, you will have:Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) relevant to the necessary scope of practiceMinimum five (5) years of clinical experience across critical care environmentCurrent Advanced Life Support (ALS) and PLS certification or willingness to obtainKnowledge and experience of the facility requirements and standardsPrior comparable experience in a leadership/supervisory role in a healthcare environmentPostgraduate qualifications in nursing Critical Care ( desirable)Demonstrated analytical and report-writing skillsDemonstrated leadership, human resource and business skillsMater is Queensland's largest not-for-profit network of public and private hospitals and healthcare services, bringing together world‐class expertise across healthcare, education, fundraising & philanthropy and research.
