Start Your Maritime JourneyJoin SeaLink South Australia—one of the state's most trusted and well-established transport providers—while completing two nationally recognised qualifications supported by MRAEL.You'll begin with the essential Shipboard Safety Skillset, followed by completing a qualification in Marine Engine Driver Grade 2 (MED2).
Here, you'll gain hands-on experience assisting in the operation and maintenance of marine engines on commercial vessels.Once you complete your MED2, you will progress to the Master 5 qualification—opening the door to applying for your command accreditation in the future.This structured pathway sets you up for a long-term, agile career in the maritime industry opening the door to one day become a future Marine Engineer or MasterWhat You'll Be DoingSupport daily ferry operations transporting passengers and freight between Cape Jervis and Kangaroo IslandAssist Engineers with scheduled maintenance including coolant replacement, bellows, oil changes and refuellingSupport the Ferry Café crew as needed, providing customer serviceEngage in vessel operations including navigation support, cleaning, security, and general ferry/wharf maintenanceRoster: 7 days on / 7 days off (Wednesday–Tuesday),
