You will play a key role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting while providing meaningful financial insight to the CFO and management team. This is a broad, hands-on position combining financial reporting, ASX compliance, audit, commercial analysis and continuous improvement, working closely with the CFO and taking ownership of key finance functions while contributing to important commercial decisions across the business.
Key responsibilities
Leading the month-end close and preparation of monthly financial reporting
Preparing and reviewing P&L;, balance sheet, cash flow and management reports
Providing budget-to-actual analysis and insightful financial commentary
Managing balance sheet, GL, bank, prepayment and financing reconciliations
Support ASX reporting, leading quarterly, half-year and annual financial reporting
Coordinating the half-year review and year-end audit
Reviewing payroll, superannuation and associated provisions
Managing key statutory obligations including GST, PAYG, FBT, payroll tax and WorkCover
Overseeing inventory, stocktake and biological asset accounting
Maintaining fixed assets, depreciation schedules and capital expenditure accounting
About you
CA or CPA qualification
At least 5 years' relevant financial accounting experience
Experience within an ASX-listed or similarly hands-on reporting environment
Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, statutory reporting and audit
Experience with ASX reporting
Advanced Excel skills and strong financial modelling capability
Experience with Power BI highly desirable
Experience with Xero or similar accounting systems
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Solid attention to detail and a disciplined approach to deadlines
