Our employees work principally in the workplaceClerk Grade 5/6, Salary from $102,936 to $113,579 plus super and leave loadingThis role offers adaptable, people-first working conditions, including:35‐hour base working weekFlex time, allowing additional hours worked to be accrued and taken back as flex leaveGenerous leave arrangements, including carers', parental and adoption leaveFour weeks recreation leave as standardAbout the roleNSW Public Works (PW) is part of the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development and supports many different local and state government agencies to deliver critical infrastructure initiatives by providing expert advisory, planning, design, delivery and support services.This role is office based but you will be making regular site inspections.
The role is working on the client-side and being responsible for delivering one or more construction projects of low or medium risk and complexity.
Alternatively, you may be assigned to a team managing the delivery of highly complex projects.As a NSW Public Works Project Manager you will be expected to manage and contribute to the planning and delivery of building and civil infrastructure projects and ensure time, cost, quality, safety and environment targets and corporate expectations are met.
Our Project Managers are responsible for the management and administration of contracts, including claims evaluation and negotiation.The role provides an exciting chance to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders and participate in business development activities, contributing towards opportunities for repeat and new business.NSW Public Works is a highly professional and award-winning project management organisation with flexible working arrangements.

You will be articulate and possess the capability to foster business relationships.
To be considered for this role, you will meet the following essential requirements which can be found in the role description, as well as the following:Appropriate trade, post-trade or tertiary qualifications in civil engineering, architecture, building, construction management, or relevant field experienceDemonstrated understanding and experience in managing the planning, procurement and delivery of building projects, or civil worksPreferably 2-3 years minimum demonstrated construction management experience or design management experienceContract management experience, including consultant contracts or construction contracts and preferably GC21 and MW21 contract administrationContribute to infrastructure planning and delivery by actively participating in project planning meetings and executing assigned tasks under the guidance of a Senior Project ManagerExcellent written,



interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively within a diverse and multi-disciplinary environmentAbility to effectively utilise digital tools and platforms to support project deliveryStrong relationship skills, with an ability to influence positive outcomes and provide excellent client serviceWell-developed knowledge and understanding of current Work Health and Safety legislation and regulationsLeadership qualities sound reasoning and problem-solving abilityCurrent NSW Driver Licence and be willing to travel to regional locations, which may include overnight stays.If you have the capability to achieve success in this role and are interested in creating a more prosperous NSW, we would love to hear from you!
