An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a leading mechanical contractor and take a key role in the delivery of a major healthcare project in Melbourne.The business has a long-standing presence within the Victorian mechanical market and a strong track record delivering large-scale HVAC projects across healthcare, commercial, infrastructure and other technically complex environments.With a strong pipeline of major projects across Melbourne, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their delivery team.The RoleAs Senior Project Manager, you will take ownership of the mechanical delivery of a major healthcare project, working closely with the Construction Manager, engineering teams, site management, subcontractors and the wider project team.Healthcare projects bring a high level of technical complexity, coordination and programme pressure, so they are looking for someone who can take control of the project, lead their team and drive successful delivery from both an operational and commercial perspective.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the mechanical delivery of a major healthcare projectManage Project Engineers, Site Managers and wider delivery teamsDrive project programme, procurement and construction activitiesTake ownership of project financials, forecasting and commercial performanceManage subcontractors and suppliersMaintain strong relationships with the builder,
consultants and clientIdentify and manage project risks throughout deliveryOversee design coordination and technical project requirementsDrive safety, quality and programme outcomesReport into senior management on project performance and deliveryAbout YouStrong background within the mechanical/HVAC contracting industryProven experience operating at Project Manager or Senior Project Manager levelStrong commercial and contractual understandingConfident managing engineers, site teams and subcontractorsExcellent client and stakeholder management skillsAbility to take ownership and drive a major project through to completionPrevious healthcare experience would be highly advantageous due to the technical nature of the project.
