The Opportunity
We are seeking an experiencedOracle & SQL Database Administratorto support and enhance critical enterprise database environments across bothon-premises and cloud platformson an initial 4-month contract.
In this role, you will be responsible for theadministration, performance, availability, and securityof Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL databases across production and non-production systems.
You'll work within a collaborative Database Services team, contributing tohigh availability, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives, while acting as a key escalation point for complex technical issues.
Key responsibilities include:
Installing, configuring, patching, upgrading, and maintaining database platforms and related tools
SupportingOracle environments (OCI Exadata, RAC, Data Guard, TDE)
ManagingSQL ServerandPostgreSQL (AWS RDS)databases
Monitoring performance, investigating incidents, and resolving complex issues
Performing backups, restores, refreshes, reorgs, and data extracts
Developing automation and scripting (Linux/Windows, PL/SQL, T-SQL)
Providing Level 3 support and managing vendor escalations (Oracle, Microsoft)
Supporting tools such as Oracle Cloud Control, TOAD, SQL Developer, SSMS, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS
Contributing tobackup, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions
Supporting release and change management processes
Maintaining documentation and improving operational processes




Providing technical guidance, mentoring, and best practice advice to stakeholders
What Are We Looking For
We're looking for ahighly capable DBAwith strong cross-platform experience and the ability to operate in complex enterprise environments.
Skills mix we are looking for:
Proven experience withOracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL administration
Hands-on experience withcloud platforms (OCI and/or AWS RDS)
Strong knowledge ofhigh availability and disaster recovery solutions
Experience with database performance tuning and troubleshooting
Scripting capability acrossPL/SQL, T-SQL, and/or shell scripting
Experience using enterprise database tools and monitoring platforms
Strong understanding of database security and best practices
Excellent problem-solving skills and stakeholder engagement
Highly desirable:
Experience acrosspublic and private sector environments
Exposure toExadata environments
Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members
