Work with a well‐established and reputable tier 1 demolition contractor on demolition projects in the CBD and Greater Melbourne.Our client is a well‐established and market‐leading civil contractor, looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Project Manager – Demolition to join their growing business.
The client provides services across a number of industry sectors such as building, government, industrial, transport infrastructure, environmental, etc. and the role involves contributing to the successful delivery of challenging projects, predominantly demolition with typical values from $1m to $20m+.
The candidate will typically run one large project or 2 to 3 smaller ones,
and previous experience delivering a $20m+ demolition as number 1 is ideal.ResponsibilitiesWorking on tendersPlanning and scheduling of construction activitiesManagement of site project teamsQuality Assurance, Cost and Time ManagementPreparation of management reportsResolving site issues in a timely mannerLiaising with key clients and stakeholdersCoordinating internal and external resourcesBusiness developmentRecruitment and mentoring of teamsQualifications and RequirementsTertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or similar5 – 15+ years' management experience on demolition and civil construction projects with a project value of $1m to $20m+Proven demolition experienceProject management qualifications will be advantageousProven understanding of construction with a hands‐on approachProven ability to effectively lead and delegateEffective problem solving abilitiesAbility to resolve conflict and manage client expectationsHigh level of organisation and time management skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills
