Ecogroup is looking for a graduate or recently qualified engineer to join our manufacturing team in Dandenong South.
This is a practical, hands-on engineering role working across our Bradford Products and Ecocanopy manufacturing businesses.
You will work closely with our Head of Production & Technical and Production Team Leaders, learning how to support the systems behind our manufacturing operations - quality, 5S, production processes, NCRs, documentation, reporting and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
Assisting with QA records, inspections, ITPs, checklists and hold-point documentation
Supporting 5S audits and following up agreed improvement actions
Maintaining NCR and defect registers and helping follow up corrective actions
Assisting experienced team members to investigate recurring defects and manufacturing problems
Compiling production KPIs, dashboards and routine reports
Assisting with production planning information and capacity reporting
Helping prepare and maintain manufacturing procedures and work instructions
Supporting practical improvements to manufacturing processes, consistency and efficiency
Learning and assisting with root-cause analysis and continuous improvement projects
Updating machinery servicing, maintenance and calibration registers
About you
Recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a similar engineering discipline
Practical and interested in how things are actually made
Organised and good at following things through
Comfortable working on the factory floor as well as at a computer
Able to read and understand engineering drawings
Analytical and naturally interested in solving problems
Confident communicating with tradespeople, engineers and managers
Robust with Outlook, Excel and general computer systems
Keen to learn, take on increasing responsibility and develop your career
About us
You'll be joining two Australian manufacturing businesses producing specialised engineered products.
Unlike many graduate engineering positions, you'll have direct exposure to the factory, manufacturing processes, quality systems, engineering, projects and senior management.
As you develop, there is considerable scope for the position to grow into broader manufacturing, production, quality or engineering responsibility.
Full-time position - Monday to Friday
Based at our Dandenong South manufacturing facility
