Deliver Results.Etheredge Mintern is an established Melbourne civil construction contractor delivering infrastructure projects across local government, commercial and private sectors.We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager - Civil Construction to join our team and take full ownership of a portfolio of civil construction projects from handover through to completion.This is not a Project Coordinator role.We are looking for someone who can be handed multiple projects, take responsibility for them, lead the delivery teams and ensure each project is delivered safely, on time and profitably.You will work closely with the Director, Construction Manager, supervisors and our broader delivery team, while having the autonomy and authority to manage your projects effectively.The RoleYou will have end-to-end responsibility for multiple civil construction projects, including:Taking ownership of projects from estimating/tender handover through to completionDeveloping and maintaining construction programsPlanning labour, plant, materials and subcontractor requirementsManaging supervisors, foremen, subcontractors and project resourcesMaintaining strong relationships with councils, clients, superintendents and consultantsManaging project budgets and monitoring actual costs against forecastPreparing and reviewing progress claimsIdentifying, pricing and managing variationsManaging Extensions of Time and contractual correspondenceProcurement of subcontractors, materials and servicesMonitoring productivity and project performanceIdentifying commercial and delivery risks early and implementing solutionsEnsuring projects meet quality,



safety and environmental requirementsConducting regular project reviews and financial forecastingDriving projects through Practical Completion, defects and final close-outProviding clear reporting to senior management on project performance, risks and opportunitiesAbout YouWe are looking for an experienced civil construction professional who understands that successful project management is about more than simply getting the work built.You will ideally have:Significant experience managing civil construction projectsDemonstrated experience managing multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong experience in local government and/or civil infrastructure projectsA strong understanding of project financials, budgets, margins and forecastingExperience with progress claims, variations, EOTs and contract administrationStrong programming and construction planning skillsThe ability to manage supervisors, subcontractors and construction crewsExcellent client and stakeholder management skillsStrong commercial awarenessThe confidence to make decisions and take ownershipA practical understanding of civil construction methodologyStrong organisational and communication skillsA focus on delivering profitable outcomes, not simply completing projectsExperience across road reconstruction, drainage, concrete works, car parks,
