We keep standards high, back people to stretch, and hire for attitude - if you set goals, deliver, learn fast and keep raising the bar, you'll feel right at home here.About the roleDue to continued growth at our Dandenong South site, Chobani are currently recruiting Day Shift Maintenance Fitter reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role will play a key part in leading our Maintenance team and supporting operational excellence.Hours for the role are 6:00am-6:00pm, with a shift pattern of 2 days on and 2 days off (working every second weekend), based on-site at our manufacturing facility at Dandenong South.This shift-based role is critical to ensuring plant reliability, maximizing equipment uptime, and supporting production teams to consistently meet performance, safety, and quality targets.As a key member of the maintenance team, you'll be hands-on with fault finding, repairs, preventative maintenance, and the commissioning of new and upgraded equipment, while also contributing to continuous improvement and capital projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesRespond to plant breakdowns and perform maintenance and repairs in a safe, efficient, and timely manner to minimise production downtimeCarry out preventative maintenance, inspections, upgrades, and modifications across high-speed manufacturing equipmentSupport plant reliability and continuous improvement initiatives,



including participation in major capital and process improvement projectsAssist with FAT witnessing, installation, commissioning, and handover of new equipment and processesWork closely with production teams to troubleshoot issues and support shift production targetsCoordinate and work alongside internal maintenance teams and external contractors to deliver maintenance and project outcomesTrain and support manufacturing personnel in the safe and correct operation of plant and equipmentSkills & ExperienceTrade qualification as a Fitter & Turner (First Class), with a Disconnect/Reconnect License (Class 2)5–8 years' experience in maintenance and commissioning within a high-speed manufacturing environmentExperience in Food & Beverage, Dairy, or Pharmaceutical manufacturing environments highly regardedStrong fault-finding and problem-solving capability across mechanical plant and equipmentSound knowledge of GMP, HACCP, quality and food safety standards, and industrial safety requirementsStrong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliersFlexibility to work rotating shifts, overtime, and on-call/standby as requiredOur team have a flexible, can-do attitude with a willingness to help others in the team and are empowered to be proactive, take initiative to solve problems and have a continuous improvement mindset.
